Perugia - From 01 to 08 May

Upon the first of Assisi is a spring festival in medieval costume (1200/1450 approximately). The city is divided into two parts, the Upper Part and Noble Magnifica Parte de Sotto, challenge to win the Palio.
The challenge is through the holding of parades in costume, acted scenes and musical performances.
To judge the ability to represent the spring by the two factions, called a jury of international experts.
The jury, consisting of three experts, a historian, a musicologist and a personality from the entertainment world, will award, at the end of the event, a court-preference.
The sum of the ratings-preference attributes the victory to one of the two sides.

Perugia - From 13 to 16 of May

The religious festival is held on the eve of the death of the patron saint Ubaldo and secular traditions.
The candles are three enormous wooden machines weighing about four pounds each, surmounted by statues of St. Ubaldo, St. George and St. Anthony, brought to the shoulder from the center to the summit of Mount Ingino, where stands the basilica of the saint patron.
The festival, which takes place during the day, is one of the most unique events in Italy.

Perugia - From 03 to 11 June and from 29 September to 02 October

The festival, revived in 1946, was inspired by a horse race that dates back to the seventeenth century, which aimed to determine the order of priority for a knight of honor in loyalty to the prince or the lady of his heart.
Today, ten knights, representing the ten districts of Foligno, measure their skills in trying to put a series of rings of progressively smaller diameter, holding a spear at a running horse. This race has the ring very spectacular results.
The night before the competition, held in the Stadium, a procession of 600 people in costume parade through the streets of the city.

Perugia - From 14 to 23 October
